All you need to know about what your television in the future might look like.

All you need to know about what your television in the future might look like. -Edward Lin

Through the latest developments of digital signage during the past few decades, we've seen the evolving process of our home television. From a really humble, stupid look of a squared box with a small panel showing only black and white, to the nowadays really big HD 4KR curved screens, we begin to wonder " What will our home TV set look like in the next few decades?"

If you're also a big fan of the latest fantasy Sci-Fi movie, " Ready Player One", the status bar in front of every player and the haptic movements controlling it is something we could never forget.
It shows everything the player needs in the Easter Egg hunting game. The movie gave us a little peak of what the future tech might look like,  even though we're still really far from it.
You see, even if we're still really far from what we imagined, our tech improvements are still going on. HD screens are already all over place, which is still getting better. The following types of display technology are what is already going on, and will definitely make your TV experiences a lot more better.

ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (OLED) DISPLAY

LED technologies are already no big news in the industry. Long life, energy efficient, nice durable quality...etc are the simple advantages of LED. And in terms OLED, it's only way better. The performance of OLED excels LED in brightness output, contrast ratio, color gamut, viewing angles and response times. It also do not require back lights, turning to be a better substitution for LED in the displaying industry.

FLEXIBLE DISPLAY / BENDABLE SCREENS

Curved monitors are on fire in the Gaming and Movie industry. It's said to be easier and more comfortable for human use since the angle of the human eyes aren't directly straight and flat. The bendable phone that LG put to effort is another area having high potential. It's not just about folding your phone to the pocket, but also having great use in medical and military industry.

But for us couch potatoes, just imagine unfolding your phone into an open air theatre under the starry night. Lovely, huh?

TACTILE or HAPTIC TOUCHSCREENS

Here's the situation: You're off from a super tiring work, and you arrive home exhausted. You crave for the sofa and hope for the useless information from TV. But you can't find your remote control, what will you do? Here's where haptic touchsreens comes in handy. A simple movement of hand waving and the television is all under your control. Ok, this isn't happening in any near future, but what exactly is a Haptic touchscreen?

Tactile touchscreen displays, also known as haptic touchscreens, gives immediate feedback at various touch points, enabling people to control the monitor through thin air. May the force be with you.

HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAYS

We can never forget our all-loved star, Michael Jackson, coming alive again onstage using holography 2014, right? Imagine all your favorite movie star alive in your 5 squared meter living room, holographically moving around, shaking your hands. The idea might not be new, however techniques of projecting a 3D image midst air from a single light bulb is still 2 galaxy way to go, but we're all dreamers right? Lets hope it one day changes the industry and redefine the future of display.

Just a few years ago, we're all gathering around PDP TV's for a simple baseball game. However in the recent days through network growth and the advancement of displaying technologies, we're already using mega sized, thin digital panels for Netflix. All of above is a shriek look into the future, and what will the future of the digital signage be like?
